Nissan Opens Shop at Nurburgring

Nissan GT-R Since the inception of the Nissan 370Z sports car, Nissan has been able to revitalize its sports car image. Not only did the company reintroduce one of the world’s most popular sports cars to the masses, but the automaker went even further by following up with the revamped GT-R, which until recently had only been sold in Japan.

As an even greater indication that Nissan intends to remain an aggressive player in the sports car segment according to Seattle WA Nissan is the fact that Nissan has just unveiled its own shop within the famed Nurburgring race circuit in Germany. Inside, any Nissan enthusiasts can find NISMO motorsports merchandise and much more. The 5,381 square foot space has officially been named the Nissan Sportscars Shop.

The new shop not only features merchandise, but it also features a range of vehicles on display. This includes the all-new limited edition Nurburgring Edition 370Z as well as a GT-R SpecV. In addition to a wide range of merchandise, one used car dealer in Tacoma says that visitors can also purchase NISMO products that have been imported directly from Japan.

Nissan is hoping to make the Nissan Sportscars Shop an important component of marketing and sales initiatives. Tacoma auto loans specialists believes that the shop is also a sign that Nissan will continue to reinvest in its sports car and motorsports heritage. In the late 1990s, Nissan had discontinued the Z car and pulled back on motorsports initiatives. Thanks to the popularity of the 370Z and the GT-R, performance products will likely continue to be a prominent fixture at Nissan for quite some time.

Nissan Receives $1.6 Billion to Produce Electric Cars in U.S.

Nissan Cube EV Nissan has already made news this week for outlining their ambitious plan for producing and selling electric vehicles to U.S. consumers by 2012. To aid Nissan in manufacturing these clean vehicles in the U.S., Nissan will also be receiving a $1.6 billion loan from the U.S. government.

The production of these new electric cars will take place in Nissan’s Smyrna, Tennessee assembly facility say Worcester Sentra retailers. Powering the cars will be lithium-ion batteries which will also be produced at the same plant but in all-new facilities.

One Worcester Nissan dealer suggest that one of the biggest obstacles to the adoption of electric vehicles is the lack of a suitable infrastructure. Luckily, Nissan has already established relationships with numerous state and local governments, as well as utility companies, which will help establish charging stations.

Although Nissan’s initial plans suggested their electric vehicles would be produced in Japan and then imported to the U.S., Used Cars Philadelphia believe the Japanese automaker realized that there would be greater output capabilities for producing them here in the U.S. Nissan expects to produce about 150,000 electric cars per year at its Smyrna-based plant.

The Department of Energy established a $25 billion loan program to aid manufacturers that produce electric cars within the U.S. Luckily, according to New Haven CT used car dealers, Nissan possessed adequate facilities to qualify for government funding, helping to expedite the develop of these ultra clean, efficient vehicles for American consumers.

With fuel efficiency and America’s dependence on foreign oil remaining huge concerns, these zero-emissions vehicles will likely satisfy huge demand, and they remain highly anticipated at Manchester CT Nissan Service and elsewhere. Best of all, Nissan says these vehicles will seat five, have a range of 100 miles on a single charge, and still be affordable.

Nissan Embracing Renault to Cut Costs

Renault-Nissan image Nissan has come a long way since its financial and sales troubles in the late 1990s. Part of the company’s resurgence was attributed to the addition of Carlos Ghosn as Nissan’s CEO. Unfortunately, times are again tough for Nissan, as they are with every automaker. Just recently Nissan announced its first loss since Ghosn took over in 1999. As a result, Nissan plans to save money by becoming even closer to Renault.

A closer relationship between Nissan and Renault could provide plenty of cost-effective options predicts Warwick Nissan dealers. The move could result in the sharing of additional engines and platforms, in addition to the halting of other new platforms that are currently under development at Nissan. According to Reuters, engine sharing alone between Nissan and Renault could produce additional earnings of up to $675 million, which Nissan dealers Alexandria says that not only could this make Nissan more financially sound, but it could also result in more reliable and unique models.

In other financial news, Nissan has been associated as a possible buyer for the Saturn brand. In addition, it is not yet known how these cost cutting initiatives will impact other infinitives underway at Nissan, including its electric vehicle development, which Framingham Nissan dealers hope will remain a high priority.

Nissan already has one new product in development that has been a joint venture with Renault. The car will be a low-cost subcompact that will be similar to that of the Nano from Tata Motors. Nissan will also be expanding its efforts in the Russian market. Aside from Renault, Used Car Dealers New Haven reminds us that Nissan has formed an alliance with Chrysler, however those efforts may become complicated due to bankruptcy restructuring.

College Students Utilized to Advertise the Nissan Cube

nissan cube When developing a marketing strategy for the all-new Cube, Nissan realized it needed to appeal to college students and 18-24 year-old consumers. This demographic is crucial, but also elusive as they don’t march to the same beat as other consumers. Therefore, marketing had to be ‘out of the box’ in order to attract such buyers to showrooms. To develop their marketing strategy, Nissan decided to get help from an unlikely, but appropriate source - college students.

Working with marketing classes at 10 universities across the country, Nissan is challenging students to devise advertising campaigns for the Nissan Cube that will run this spring across the campuses and surrounding communities involved in the program. The goal the campaigns, to the delight of Manchester CT Nissan dealers, will be to generate interest in the new compact Cube and be targeted to appeal exclusively to 18 to 24 year old consumers.

Nissan has recognized the Cube as being an incredibly unique product. Competing against segment mainstays like the Honda Element and edgy offerings such as the Scion xB, the Nissan Cube has to succeed with a young demographic according to Philadelphia Nissan dealers, but will also appeal to a wider audience looking for something youthful, fun, and distinctive.

The Nissan Cube is scheduled to go on sale on May 5th for around $14,000. Before it hits showrooms, one Nissan Dealer Connecticut suggests that interested buyers that want to learn a little more about the Cube can visit the vehicle’s official website and even order a brochure. Nissan says that 25,000 people have already requested material about the Cube, which hints at the appeal the vehicle will have when it finally hits showrooms.

Already the Nissan Cube is being featured in the NBC TV series “Heroes,” which appeals to the target college-aged demographic. Meanwhile, Nissan is eagerly waiting to see the marketing campaigns devised by college students. While the automaker is not going to get involved in the creative process, it does hope that the campaigns will somehow include local Nissan dealers, which a Boston used cars dealer hopes will help attract 18-24 year old buyers. Regardless, Nissan expects to learn something new about their target demographic and about how best to communicate with them.

Nissan 370Z Video Review from Edmunds

Count on Edmunds.com to be among the first to deliver a full review of the all-new Nissan 370Z sports car. Since its unveiling at the LA Auto Show, the 370Z has gained substantial attention as it appeared to improve upon the Z's already stellar performance and handsome styling.

Nissan has done a great job with its first full redesign of the Z since its reincarnation in 2003. Overall length is fairly close to the 350Z, but it now offers a wider track, which performance enthusiasts at Boston Nissan dealers have noted has improved handling. Styling of the Nissan 370Z is also fairly similar to its predecessor, except for aggressive styling enhancements along the front fascia and rear.

Many drivers of the Nissan 370Z have already noticed the reduced weight of the new model. Thanks to utilizing new materials and trimming weight in certain areas of the car, customers among Worcester Nissan dealers noticed immediately that the latest Z car handles much better as a result.

Aside from the new Nissan Z's outstanding performance, Edmunds also loved the new car's refinement. Although handling feels more refined, the interior also felt far more upscale, thanks to Infiniti-like appointments. Nissan Tacoma dealers continually see surprised reactions when shoppers see classy chromes accents and softer plastics that truly add to the value the Z delivers, especially with a base price of about $30,000.
