Nissan Xterra and Frontier Receive Updates

With the economy still weakend and getting worse by the day, Nissan and other automakers are working to spruce up their truck and SUV lineup to ensure the models remain attractive to buyers. As such, Nissan has introduced updated versions of the Nissan Xterra and the Nissan Frontier pickup truck.

Among the upgrades for the midsize Nissan SUV and truck are changes to the front fascia as well as changes to the interior. Dealers such as Used Car Dealers Raynham have already seen increased interest in the models as they've already begun arriving in showrooms there and elsewhere across the country.

Truck inventories become quite difficult to sell for Nissan dealers. Even while truck sales have slowed, Nissan cars have actually been selling strongly with Nissan Altima MA dealers getting plenty of car shoppers interested in the popular midsize sedan - which is also available as a hybrid.

As new car buyers continue to steer away from trucks at SUVs among Birmingham Nissan dealers and others, Nissan is working hard to keep their dealer inventories competitive. Even Toyota has introduced changes to the 2009 model year for their truck and SUV lineup which has already arrived in showrooms including Spokane Toyota, and Nissan doesn't intent to to get left behind.

Nissan CVT On More Vehicles

Nissan’s continuously variable transmission (or CVT) is a popular draw for Nissan customers. Nissan has announced that global sales of vehicles equipped with the CVT have topped one million. The duration of the sales benchmark was for the 2007 fiscal year funning from April 2007 to March 2008. This achievement has accounted for a sudden boost of these CVT equipped vehicles when compared to the 2004 fiscal year when the product was initially introduced.

According to Nissan, their CVT is present on nearly 30 percent of its vehicles worldwide, which is up significantly from 2004. The highest increases in where CVT vehicles were sold are in North America and Japan.

Nissan’s CVT transmission is a popular feature on many Nissan vehicles at North Haven Used Car such as the Altima, Murano, and new Rogue. The CVT combines the best of manual and automatic transmissions, maximizing both performance and fuel efficiency without having to shift your own gears.

As Nissan introduces new vehicles to the Massachusetts Nissan Dealers lineup, such as the new Rogue, the new CVT finds its way on board. Drivers are likely to find more models equipped with the CVT in the future as more and more consumers are seeing its benefits.

Could Nissan Be Buying Chrysler?

Rumors have persisted recently concerning the possible purchase of Chrysler by Nissan. Since the Nissan and Chrysler have entered a manufacturing deal earlier, speculation had escalated about more involved between the fairly stable Japanese automaker and the struggling Chrysler. But Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn has denied these rumors saying that they simply are completely unfounded as product deals are much better in the current economic environment.

Nissan has tried to unsuccessfully create and strengthen partnerships before. One example is earlier this year when Nissan had attempted to build ties with General Motors, as well as Ford. But as Chrysler’s problems deepened, it made sense that Nissan could gain much from a Chrysler partnership.

A Nissan and Chrysler partnership is already going to be mutually beneficial for both automakers. Chrysler will be gaining a Nissan-produced compact car that is much needed considered the increases in the price of gas and general demand among Massachusetts Nissan dealers for smaller cars. In addition, Nissan will be gaining a Chrysler-produced full-size truck based on the Ram pickup, which will be helpful considering the lackluster sales and response to Nissan’s first full-size truck attempt, the Nissan Titan.

Needless to say, it’s not a good time currently for anyone in the auto industry. Sales are down across the board, particularly in North America where spikes in the price of gasoline have caused new car buyers to dramatically change their buying habits and reconsider gas-guzzling trucks and SUVs.

These smaller product deals, according to Nissan, are much more profitable for now, and it’s likely that they don’t stop there. Since the Nissan Titan has been an unsuccessful vehicle, the automaker can save money though the partnership with Chrysler in helping produce the next generation Titan. Despite this, rumors may still persist as Chrysler in particular continues to improve its operations.

New Improvements to the Nissan Armada May Go Unnoticed

The Nissan Armada may not look new from the outside, but this model year brings much needed updates to Nissan’s largest SUV. With more interest in smaller and more fuel efficient vehicles, Nissan, as well as other manufacturers, are trying to overhaul these big trucks and give them more amenities and features to make them more attractive to buyers, amid rapidly rising gas prices.

The 2008 Armada features only very subtle updated to its exterior, but as Nissan Jackson Mississippi buyers noticed, the Armada's unique curvature across the roof line remains maintaining the vehicles most distinctive exterior feature. However, most of the changes have been made to the vehicle’s cavernous interior which has been a huge selling point at Nissan Cleveland OH. New softer plastics adorn the dash of the Armada and center console, which also features a new large twist nob that helps control mapping functions below the large center navigation monitor.

Aside from the Armada's improved interior accommodations, Ontario CA Nissan buyers note the Armada’s engine gains a boost in horsepower to 315hp, up from 300hp, which is important for moving a vehicle of its size. The engine also features the best fuel economy when compared with its full-sized competitors such as the Toyota Tundra based Sequoia. But at 15mpg, that is not terribly impressive for most buyers.

The 2008 Nissan Armada is on sale now and is available at your nearest Nissan dealership.

The All-New 2009 Nissan Murano

The new Nissan Murano looks very much like the previous generation Murano. However, for 2009 the Murano gets all new sheet metal, despite the familiar look.

When introduced in 2003 as a 2004 model, the Nissan Murano was a huge hit for the company. The sleek lines of the Murano gave the company a hip vehicle and it jump started the crossover segment, giving dealers like Chicago Nissan an attractive product to lure in buyers, and paving the way for numerous competing crossover SUVs from other manufacturers, including the popular Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Santa Fe.

Styling for the 2009 Nissan Murano has not changed significantly. The vehicle maintains it sleek profile, with about the same interior room and marginally less rear cargo space. The midsize Altima platform also remains the foundation for the Murano, with the same 3.5-liter V6 powering it, but with an increase in output to 265hp and 248 pund-feet of torque. Nissan continues to use the continuously variable transmission (CVT) with the Murano, helping to give the vehicle adequate acceleration along with strong fuel economy.

With an increase in horsepower, the new Nissan Murano manages to maintain its 18 miles per gallon city and 23 mph highway, same as the previous generation, which is an attactive quality to car shoppers at Nissan Dealers Los Angeles. Also commendable is the identical fuel ratings for the all-wheel driver version, which typically consumes more fuel in most vehicles, including among the Murano's closest competitors.

Although the exterior of the new Murano may look familiar, shoppers at Boston used Nissan have noticed that the company has gong to great lengths in updating the vehicle's interior. Much of the center-stack is reminiscent of its premier Infiniti brand, with a large LCD screen and higher quality materials. There's even a push-button start system. Rear seats now recline and also feature levers that drop the seats more easily while loading.
